Recommended for women in menopause; this remedy helps a woman to cope with hot flashes, mood swings, sleep disturbances, night sweats and decreased libido, as well as the feeling of lack of oxygen, dizziness and nausea.

Changes in the work’s environment of a woman's body during menopause greatly affects both of her well-being and her psychological state. Women complain of mood swings, hot flashes or chills, deteriorating skin, bones and loss of elasticity of the mucous membranes. One of the most unpleasant manifestations is osteoporosis, or bone destruction. Disruption of the balance of sex hormones leads to a change in the course of a number of processes in the body, including an imbalance in the formation and destruction of bone tissue. As a result, the risk of fractures is increased.

For women, during the onset and course of menopause, hormone replacement therapy, symptomatic treatment, as well as taking vitamins, minerals and herbal preparations may be offered. Given the impressive number of side effects from hormone therapy, many women traditionally prefer phytoestrogens, such as the biologically active complex Femalon.

Phytoestrogens are plant-based substances that have an estrogen-like effect. These substances prevent the development and progression of cardiovascular diseases, reduce the risk of cancer, and reduce the severity of menopausal symptoms. The main indicators for their appointment are: early menopause (before the age of 45), diabetes, hypertension, certain features of the menstrual cycle (for example, late onset of menstruation), diet features (including drinking a lot of coffee, lack of weight, and so on)

Herbal remedies for menopausal women include flavones, isoflavones, coumestans, lignans. These active substances are contained in extracts of black cohosh (black cohosh), red clover, Chinese coptis, hops, soybeans.

One of the most popular natural remedies for combating estrogen-like effects is cimicifuga extract. In Europe, the extract of this plant ranks eighth among those prescribed for the treatment of climacteric syndrome. Studies have shown that black cohosh extract normalizes the balance of hormones, smoothing hot flashes, psycho-emotional disorders, sleep disorders, muscle, joint and headaches. It also has a beneficial effect on the autonomic nervous system, helps to eliminate attacks of heartbeat, sweating, dizziness and improves bone metabolism.

A brief reminder for those taking dietary supplements

• Dietary supplements are not pharmaceutical medicines, they represent natural organic complexes which are based largely on plants and mineral origins; their effectiveness takes effect gradually (from 1 to 3 months) and it is false to expect quick / immediate action or results after taking them.

• The use of dietary supplements will help a person to get rid of physiological and psychological difficulties, but will not replace the prescribed drug by your doctor.

• Men who are facing sexual challenges have to take into account that it is not a “Viagra" but rather a remedy that helps to improve sexual life in the long term and not for quick intercourse.

• Dietary supplements in general are a perfect fit for people who are experiencing difficulties and challenges such as: Stress disorders, insomnia, many colds, disorders of the digestive tract, congestion in the liver and gallbladder, removal of kidney stones, etc.’, which do not require the prescription of medicated pharmaceutical drugs.

• Dietary supplements - do not treat cancer, tuberculosis, psoriasis, HIV / AIDS, autoimmune and venereal diseases, as well as the mental disorders, diabetes mellitus and fractures of any bones.

• For the effectiveness of dietary supplements, they should be taken regularly, at least 1-2 months, with a sufficient amount of water, but should not  be washed down afterwards with coffee, tea, packaged juices or energy drinks.

• Dietary supplements should not be taken with porridge because porridge serves as a sorbent and interferes with the normal absorption process of useful components.

• Pregnant and breastfeeding women, should consult their doctor before taking any dietary supplements.

• If the package indicates that a dietary supplement should be taken prior of your meal (30 minutes in advance) then it indicates that the supplement increases the production of gastric juice; such dietary supplements usually include spirulina, enzymes, enzymes and choleretic herbs. If they are taken within or after the meals, there will be no repercussions except that the gastrointestinal tract will take longer to digest the food and absorb nutrients from the supplements into the intestines.

• Most often, biologically active additives do not cause allergic reactions or other side effects, however, one should remember about individual intolerance to any of the components of the remedy. If you are predisposed to allergic reactions, then carefully read the composition of the remedy.
